A value that is often overlooked by those who produce animals and poultry is the potential of the manure as a source of fertilizer. Properly managed, barnyard manure is a valuable fertilizer because of its nitrogen and phosphate content; its composition varies greatly depending upon the animals that produce it.

Fertilizer manure is reinforced with additions of superphosphate to make it a better balanced fertilizer and to reduce the loss of nitrogen as ammonia.

The organic mineral mixtures "OMC+" (made by "Airik" Ltd., Kharkov, Ukraine) are made from disinfected dry chicken excrements (poultry manure) with added organic components (turf, plant remainders) and mineral additives (ammonium nitrate, superphosphate, potassium-magnesium) in the appointed proportions.

The laboratory analyses and application of the organic mixture “OMC+” proved that the mixture based on the poultry excrements is a slow release source of rich nutrients which can be recommended for utilization in plant growing, vegetable growing and decorative farming for all types of soil.

Following the recommended doses of the organic mixture “OMC+” the farmers and gardeners can positively stimulate the growth of plants and eventually achieve large harvests. As a natural source of plant feeding organic mixture “OMC+” has no harmful effect on plants.
